A Dream Becoming Real
Greetings Amazing Adventurers!
We want to start off the month right with a great newsblog! In this update, we’ll be talking a little bit about our ventures into my YouTube channel, talk about some recent stuff we watched, and share interesting. In any case, we hope this newsblog brings some joy and fun into your week!
1) Recording Has Begun! -
From the Passion Project Department
This week, I have started recording a couple of the videos that I have scripted out for my YouTube channel. For a long time, I have had the itch to make videos for YouTube. Watching other gaming channels like Nakeyjakey, Videogamedunkey, the Act Man, and more has always inspired me to talk about video games myself. Video games have always been a huge part of my life and I have a massive passion for them. Truly, video games are an art form and there are several topics that I can’t wait to cover within my videos. These topics range from talking about the state of modern gaming, coming up with game ideas of my own, talk about games that truly exemplify the upper echelon of video game experiences, and more. Honestly, I don’t know if I will be successful in this venture. However, I am not doing this to be successful. I am doing it because I have this unbridled desire to share what’s on my heart when it comes to video games, how awesome they are, and how incredible they could still be. Don’t get me wrong, if there’s a little bit of success that goes along with it, I wouldn’t mind. Regardless, I can’t wait to share with you my passions and thoughts with you about this amazing art form and I hope people can find different things to like and enjoy about my upcoming content. I hope to have the first of my videos posted by September 30th so that I have enough time to develop a releasing buffer for each video to come out on a decently regular schedule. So, if you feel so inclined, keep your eyes peeled for that first video! As we get closer to that date, I will share links to the channel and more as the debut of the first video approaches.
2) A Super Fun Adventure Worth Watching! –
From the Department of Animated Storytelling
Sorry it took so long for us to talk about this one! A couple of weeks ago, Pixie and I went to our favorite local theater to watch the new League of Super-Pets movie and, honestly, we were pleasantly surprised! League of Super-Pets turned out to be a fun adventure movie with a great plot, solid character development, and fantastic pacing throughout. This movie is quite good in its own right. It leverages being in the DC Comics Universe and isn’t afraid to use its mythology in a tasteful way to create a good film. We would give this film a well-earned 7 out of 10. It is above average and deserves at least one watch. If you love the superhero genre, then it might be worth it to watch in theaters. However, you wouldn’t be missing anything really if you wanted to wait till it comes to streaming platforms to watch it. Overall, if you’re looking for a good family night movie, this is a very solid pick. It’s not available on-demand yet, but you can definitely check it out at your local theater still if you’d like to see it that way. [WE ARE NOT SPONSORED BY ANY COMPANY. 3) Artist Shout-Out -
From the Artist Relations Department
Our pick for this week’s Artist Shout-Out goes to the amazing illustrator that goes by the name of Mykel Ryan who goes by mykemon_regions on Instagram. Mykel makes some awesome Pokémon fan art on Instagram where he creates his own Fakémon as well as comes up with new regional or past forms of existing Pokémon that are super cool. He is very adept at using shading, line, and color to create characters with distinct silhouettes in a very specific style (which is something lots of illustrators have a hard time doing). One thing’s for sure, I always check Instagram to see what he’s come up with in new Pokémon designs as they’re always spectacular. If you feel up to it, we highly recommend giving Mykel a follow on Instagram and/or checking out his website to support their art as he truly is the real deal. [We are not sponsored by Mykel Ryan. We are only fans and genuinely wanted to give a shoutout.]

4) New Wave-Riding Generators That Could Give Us the Cheapest Clean Energy Ever! -
From the Fascinating News Division
Recently, I saw an article that talked about a group of people that were developing a new renewable energy device called the “Waveline Magnet” that can harness the power of the waves and turn it into electricity! Trust me, you’ve got to see this for yourself. If successful, this device could provide high energy output at the lowest cost we’ve seen from other renewable energy sources. Interested to find out more about this topic? Go check out the article to find out for yourself! [We are NOT sponsored by any news organization. We are just wanting to share something cool with our incredible fans.]

5) A Fantastic Show That Ended Way Too Soon! –
From the Animated Storytelling Division
This week, I wanted to do a recommendation on a throwback animated show that I grew up watching called Wolverine and the X-Men. This show, in my opinion, is the absolute best X-Men animated show that has ever been released. Don’t get me wrong, the 1992 X-Men show is spectacular too. However, for me, this show is the quintessential X-Men show out there. It takes a lot of different X-Men lore and merges it together into one great series with fantastic characters, stellar voice acting, well-written storylines, and great animation. If you’re looking for something to binge that is top-notch, then this is the pick for you. Here at Bear & Pixie Art Studio, we give this show an official rating of a 9 out of 10. If you’re an X-Men fan at all, this show is an absolute must watch show. If you feel so inclined to do so, you can click the picture below to watch it on Disney+ if you have a subscription!
