Full Steam Ahead on a Brand-New Story!

Salutations Gregarious Galvanizers!

We have another update here to start off a whole new month of newsblogs! Last week, we took a break so that we could put in some more work behind the scenes on other projects. In this update, we’ll be showing you all a little bit of what we’ve been working on, some great entertainment that you should check out, and some other little tidbits that we’d like to share with you. We hope this newsblog brings some joy and fun into your week!

1) Working on a Brand-New Story -

From the Department of Comic Development

This week, we wanted to talk about our brand-new webcomic project that we are now working on! Recently, Pixie and I settled on a project that we feel has a more solid story, characters, and world than what we were working on before. That webcomic is currently under the working title of Ulterior Motive. The story follows Brent Ames, a young man who has been working alongside his parents and other family members in an Illuminati-style organization known only as “The Sixth Sector.” From a young age, Brent has participated as an agent dealing in espionage, treasure hunting, rewriting history, destabilization of governments, and more. Brent, on one of his missions, gets hurt badly which results in his family pulling him out of work temporarily to get treatment. Feeling completely lost and being dissatisfied with working as an agent for “The Sixth Sector,” Brent felt like he had no way out and was fated to be stuck in a job he hated forever. However, on a chance meeting during his recovery, Brent meets a girl named Reyna who would change his life forever. Now, he works to find out who he wants to be and searches for a way to leave the “Sixth Sector.” Will he become his own person? Will the pull of familial ties be too much for him to fight against? You’ll have to read it when we release Ulterior Motive Summer 2023! If you find this story interesting, then stay tuned to all things Bear & Pixie for more updates as we show you sneak peeks at chapters, characters, and other bits of the development along the way!

2) A Must Watch Show That’s Got Some Amazing Kenobi Moments! –

From the Department of Animated Storytelling

Ok, I know the new Kenobi show on Disney+ came out recently, but I thought it would be a great to highlight another Star Wars show that is a must-watch for any Star Wars, or just animation, fan in general. That show is Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This show takes characters that weren’t all fleshed out in the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars movies and gives them amazing arcs. Effectively, this show expanded the Star Wars universe and brought new life to existing characters, planets, and created more amazing examples of both along the way. Even Pixie likes this show and she’s not a super die-hard Star Wars fan like I am! If that doesn’t tell you how special this show is, I don’t know what does. If you’re looking for a great show with some awesome story beats, incredible animation, and memorable characters, then look no further than this show. Our overall score for the entire series on a Bear & Pixie scale would be a 9 out of 10 for all the reasons I’ve talked about so far and more. If you feel so inclined, you can watch the whole thing on Disney+ if you have subscription. If you do, you can get there easily by clicking the picture below. [WE ARE NOT SPONSORED BY ANY COMPANY. 3) Artist Shout-Out -

4) Archiving Humanity’s Knowledge on the Moon?! -

From the Fascinating News Division

Just recently, I saw this fascinating article on IFLScience.com that reported how a company called Lonestar is currently heading up a project to store all of humanity’s knowledge and information in underground lava tubes on the Moon! Just a couple of weeks ago, I talked about how scientists are starting to figure out ways to create a livable environment on the Moon and now there are people figuring ways to store our data on it. What crazy things are going to happen next? Do you ever think we’ll end up colonizing the Moon? Regardless, I think it would be an amazing idea to store backups of our knowledge and information away from the planet so that it can stay safe and secure no matter what crazy stuff humans do here on Earth. Want to learn more about this battery and the technological ideas behind it? Check out the article in the link below! [We are NOT sponsored by any news organization. We are just wanting to share something cool with our incredible fans.]

5) An Amazing Platformer for the Ages! –

From the Creative Gaming Department

As I have been working on my YouTube channel behind the scenes, it seems like I’ve really entered back into my love of video games and playing them more regularly. One of the ones Pixie and I have both checked out together recently is a 2D Platformer called Hollow Knight developed by Team Cherry. This Metroidvania style game is one of intense action, amazing art, well-designed gameplay, and a world teeming with life and personality. Pixie and I are big fans of platformers and Hollow Knight is one of the best ones out there. Honestly, it gives the Ori series a run for its money in every way. With interesting characters and impeccable bosses, this game springs to life and constantly motivates you to explore each section of its spectacular world. Obviously, this one gets a 10 out of 10 rating here on the Bear & Pixie Art Studio and, if you’d like to check it out for yourself, please feel free to do so by clicking on the picture below to purchase it on Amazon! You can also purchase this fantastic game digitally on a multitude of different stores depending on your gaming platform of choice. [We are NOT sponsored by any company. We are only giving a genuine recommendation.]
